Terms of Service

Effective date: April 5, 2026

1. About Gnimri

Gnimri is an AI-narrated dark fantasy survival RPG operated by Familiaris Games ("we", "us", "our"). All narration, NPC dialogue, scene descriptions, and in-game content are generated in real time by artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude). By using Gnimri you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Gnimri, or at least 16 if you reside in the EU/EEA. By creating an account you confirm you meet the applicable age requirement.

3. Accounts

One account per person.
You are responsible for keeping your email and password secure.
Account sharing is not permitted.
You may delete your account at any time; this permanently removes all associated data.

4. AI-Generated Content

All game narration, NPC dialogue, descriptions, and story events are generated by AI and do not represent the views of Familiaris Games.
AI content may occasionally contain errors, inconsistencies, or unexpected material. Content moderation is applied but is not perfect.
You should not rely on AI-generated game content for real-world information or decisions.
Your text commands and game context are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train its models.

5. Acceptable Use

When using multiplayer features (whispers, roars, and other player-to-player communication) you agree not to:

Harass, threaten, or abuse other players.
Send hate speech, slurs, or discriminatory language.
Share personal information about other people without consent.
Attempt to exploit, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the service.

Outgoing player messages are moderated by AI. Violations of these rules may result in account suspension or termination at our discretion.

6. BYOK (Bring Your Own Key)

If you choose the BYOK subscription tier and provide your own Anthropic API key:

Your use of the Anthropic API is also subject to Anthropic's Terms of Service.
You are solely responsible for any charges incurred on your Anthropic account.
Familiaris Games does not monitor or control your Anthropic API usage beyond what the game requires.

7. Intellectual Property

Game code, design, artwork, music, and branding are owned by Familiaris Games / Juan Irming.
AI-generated narrative content is not claimed as copyrighted by either party, consistent with current legal understanding of AI-generated works.
By posting user-generated content (character names, whispers, roars, letters), you grant us a non-exclusive license to display that content within the game as necessary to operate the service.

8. Service Availability

Gnimri is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, data persistence, or any particular level of AI quality. The service is currently offered free of charge; if pricing changes, we will communicate terms before any charges apply.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Familiaris Games shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or interruption of service. For BYOK users, we accept no liability for Anthropic API charges incurred through use of the game.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the game. Upon termination, all associated data is permanently deleted.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of Gnimri after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
